I worked for a short period of time as a behavior therapist for children with autism (The child I worked with was 6 years old). I loved working with my kiddo and being able to help, but the pay wasn't ideal and I felt I didn't have sufficient enough training to truly better the child's target behaviors (unwanted behaviors such as aggression). That being said, a less therapeutic approach to working with children sounds ideal for me. I feel like I'm really able to connect with children because I myself am super creative, easy going and love to have fun. I'm starting college in May so I'm looking for some part- time work that involves helping people in some way. That's why I believe babysitting would be perfect for me.
