I don’t have children of my own but growing up my younger sister was my doll. Protecting her, feeding her, and loving her while my mom was working hard helped me understand how much nurturing can make a difference in a child’s life. I believe it takes a village to raise a child, everyone should be apart of the well-being and future of our children today. I cared for and watched my nephew who’s currently the big 6. I’ve learned so much and gained the ultimate patience from caring for him. But my most gain of respect for parents came from working with my track team’s “CT Hawks” youth track group ages 5-18. Teaching children responsibilities, how to interact with each other respectfully and kindly. Learning the different ways children learn and interact. Working with the many ages groups with children helped me with my patience and how to properly and respectful work with children of many backgrounds. Children need many people in their lives to grow and I’m the on call big sister, nanny, babysitter, cleaner…etc!
Currently in the process of completing my sociology degree, with a business minor degree.
