I have worked with kids since I was 16 years old. I have experience from internships at my late high school. I started off as a summer camp counselor working with kids from Pre-K through 1st. I chaperoned them on trips, during activity time and STEM, and cleaned up after them during breakfast, lunch and between snacks. This summer internship earned me an actual job after I graduated, as a teachers assistant. I dealt with a diverse group of children. They included age groups from Pre-k through 8th grade. It was a program established for extra help to kids that needed it. I attended to them for homework help and sometimes emotional help due to problems at home. I communicated with my coworkers to decide on fun activities and curriculums. Working with kids with special needs taught me a lot of patience and a mannerly approach to certain situations. It was most satisfying to see the smile on the parents faces knowing I was making a difference, especially during this time of change.
