I was raised by a single mother with 3 boys. There's a lot I've learned from her and a lot that I appreciate her for. I know sometimes kids can be a handful - for sure I was too.
I also have a soft spot for kids and young people because I had a very hard time growing up, and I want every new generation of people to have as much positive growth as they can.
As for the actual caretaking, I'm generally relaxed and playful. I don't believe it's my place to take any parental role as I am not the parent. But, I am not so laid back as to let the children to whatever they please especially if it's harmful to them or someone else, or to the request of the parents/guardians.
