I've always had a passion for working with children. In my last positions, I work hands-on with children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years. I have a knack for problem solving and work well independently and collaboratively. I was certified in CPR and First Aid, over 10 years of experience in childcare, over 100 hours of DSS Training and completed my BA program September 2017. Finally, I have worked as a 4K Lead Teacher for SC First Steps 4K for 5 years and micro-managed other 4K classrooms to assist new teachers.
Aside from my love for children, I am a self-starter and excel at paying close attention to details, clear communicating, and engage very well with children and people in general. I am very creative and flexible to different situations. I am also very caring and love to help children become successful learners. As an educator, I believe it is necessary go the extra mile to build family-school relationships to ensure children and families understand that I am doing my best to meet their needs.
