Mia G.
Right now I am student at Missouri State University studying political science, as well as social policy and ethics, in hopes of working with under privileged and special needs children. Until then however, I love to work with kids as much as possible. I currently work at Summit prepatory school in Springfield, MO, where I am a before and after care instructor, and I baby sit on the weekends to help pay for my education. When working with the kids, my philosophy is to keep and open mind, and BE PATIENT! A child's youth are their prime years of which they learn behaviors and imitate what the see. So I want to make sure that I am a positive role model for when they make decisions. However, when tough situations, happen and unacceptable behaviors are displayed I make sure to assess the situation the best I can, and make sure to give an appropriate response.
Another great thing about me is that I can be very flexible with my schedule, and might even be able to work some week days depending on my school schedule. I can adapt to any given situation pretty well, and be accessable when needed. Overall I am a really hard worker, and I truly care about the children I work with.
