Quiana W.
ver the past six years, I have gained a lot of experience working with and caring for children, especially younger kids and babies. One of the biggest reasons I am so comfortable around children is because I helped raise my younger sister. Since she was a baby, I have spent a lot of time helping take care of her, which taught me how to be patient, responsible, and attentive. I learned how to help with daily routines, keep her entertained, and make sure she felt safe and supported. This experience helped me understand how much care and attention young children need.
In addition to helping with my sister, I have also spent a lot of time watching the children of family friends. Many of these kids were very young, including babies and toddlers, which helped me become even more confident in caring for younger children. Through these experiences, I learned how to keep kids engaged with activities, help them stay calm when they are upset, and create a positive and fun environment for them. Every child is different, so I have also learned how to adapt and understand different personalities and needs.
Overall, my experiences over the past several years have helped me become very comfortable working with children. I enjoy spending time with them, helping them learn new things, and making sure they feel safe and cared for. Because I have been around babies and young kids so often, I feel confident in my ability to care for them responsibly and patiently. Working with children is something I truly enjoy, and I believe my experience has helped me develop strong skills when it comes to caring for younger kids.
