I have taken many courses in Early Childhood Education and have worked as a Teacher Assistant at UCLA's Krieger Child Care Center. I have also worked as a Respite Caregiver for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities by providing in-home supervision/care. I grew up helping my mom who is a pre-K teacher and early childhood development instructor in children's arts and crafts. As a performance artist and clown, I enjoy engaging in play-based learning with kids and giving them the freedom to explore their ideas and feelings while also ensuring safety and boundaries. When caring for children and teens, I lead with empathy, curiosity, and care.
Completed 18 units of Early Childhood Education courses through LA Community Colleges. Completed Education Dept course in Culture, Gender & Human Development at UCLA, which included weekly observation of Vygotsky-focused, play-based after school program at UCLA Community School at RFK Campus.
