While in college I was a sitter for a 10-year-old girl. I would keep her entertained, play games, help her with her science, math, reading, and writing homework (and anything else she needed help with). I would also fix her up a snack before her parents got home and assist her in any way possible.
Moreover, I grew up with my younger sister (10 year age gap) and I would take care of her when my parents weren't home. I also helped her with homework, made the food, and did bath time, among other things.
