My experience working with children goes back to when I was a teen. I started off taking care of my nephew. I would also teach and care for the kids at our church. Since 2017, I have been working at Head Start, a non-profit preschool, with children from the ages of 6 months up to 5 year olds. I truly enjoy working with children, and have always been interested in a career that involves children. My current job with Head Start is as a Family Engagement Coordinator, but I spend at least 2-3 hours in the classrooms with the kids each day. A couple years ago, I worked for the school district and helped children in the Gifted Program from kindergarten up to 6th grade as well, so I also have experience with older kids.
