Noelle D.
I've been surrounded by children my entire childhood, caring for my nieces and nephews. I currently tutor elementary school children up to the third grade. I'm an excellent fit if you prioritize education for your children but still wish to let them have fun and develop creativity alongside problem-solving skills. I mainly teach English as a Second Language (I know multiple dialects of Chinese and Japanese but also have experience in Russian, and Korean). I also tutor math as well. Over the summer I take care of up to 15 children at once in summer camp, facilitating all their activities from playtime (outdoor and indoor), and snack time, to drop-off and pick-up times. I nourish STEAM for kids in well-craved-out and interactive arts and crafts, biology/chemistry, and economics lessons. I prefer to inspire children to explore interests beyond their comfort zones while cultivating their strengths and overcoming the fear of failure. I've been involved in children's education since middle school and have since then studied psychology. Some projects I've worked on include encouraging the maintenance of social and emotional balances through introductory health and physical education classes as well as preparing girls from underrepresented minorities for a STEAM career through immersive programming and gaining expression through dance. Although I care a lot about a child's education foundation, I still urge children to have fun. In college, I am a management major so I have a very hands-on approach.
