I have been a nanny/babysitter professionally for 4 years now. I am passionate about childhood developmental milestones and interested in the education of it. I am the oldest sibling of 6 kids, I was born in raised in Chicago and have already spent most of my life taking care of children. I believe i would be a good candidate because although many people my age would not prefer to work with kids, working with children and being there for them, guiding them through their challenges and getting to see them grow and thrive is my favorite thing in the world. My motivation comes from not being taken care of as well as a child, as an adult i now believe i have the personal knowledge and determination to be a contributor to a kids growth. I mean that mentally and emotionally. I believe it's important children to be around trusted and caring adults. I am a strong believer in "gentle parenting".
i am currently in school, enrolled at NIU (online classes) working towards a bachelors in early childhood education. I have completed many psych classes including a psychological childhood development class.
