My care-giving/babysitting experience began as a teenager in high school while living in Bermuda. This continued in the raising of my nieces and nephews, as a family unit. However, my most esteemed qualification in this area was raising my own children. As expected, this experience demanded a wide array of skills such as patience, encouragement, entertainment, teaching, help with endless homework and school projects; and the list goes on, which are too numerous to mention. It is no accident that we say children are like sponges. What they see, hear, touch, smell and taste are all definitive elements of their development.
