I started my career working to take care of others as a food and nutrition aide at Columbine rehab facility as a senior in high school. While working this position I learned that I loved to care for others. When covid-19 hit I decided to start work as a RA in a dementia care unit. I worked as a RA + QMAP for a year until I was unable to maintain my personal health due to covid. That is when I made the transition to working with kids! I got my first job as an RBT doing play based therapy with children with autism. After working as an RBT for 6 months, I learned that teaching was my favorite way to work with children. Soon after I started working at bright horizons as a toddlers and twos teacher. For me, working with kids is all about having fun! While finding ways to learn along the way. I think it’s super important to make subjects like art, math, science , and reading+writing apart of a child’s everyday life. As a caregiver for a child , either as a teacher or a baby sitter, it’s all about creating the best and most fun experience possible!
