It has been years since I last took care of another person's child.
I had babysat many times for many different families in the past.
I work in a daycare in the 80s and took care of children from 2 different women's Bible study.
I was a nanny for two different families in the late 80's and early 90's.
All of these children are now grown, including my own.
They have children of their own. Some have grandchildren. Not mine, I have no grandchildren.
I miss those days. I miss holding that little baby and playing with the little children. Listening to them talk at the dinner table or them coming up to me with a hug.
I miss reading them bedtime stories or just reading to them.
I miss doing arts and crafts.
I miss parents calling me up almost every single weekend. Asking me to babysit for them and tell me they would be back in a couple of hours. They never came back on time. They will always late, but I never mind.
I maybe up in my age, but I have no illness and I take no medication.
Allowed me to put your mind to ease and watch your children while you go out and enjoy your evening.
