I am a graduate from The University of South Florida with a Bachelors of Social Work degree. During my experience in the Social Work Program at USF, we completed extensive coursework and field practice which included case management, risk assessment and crisis intervention. I completed a full time, semester long internship at a crisis pregnancy center. During my internship/field practice, I facilitated crisis counseling and intakes for clients, community outreaches, as well as resource referrals for various needs. Following graduation, I was employed at a different pregnancy center as the Coordinator of Client Services with similar duties as well as helping expectant/new mothers with parenting/life skills. I also have experience working with children and children with special needs. My most recent relevant experience is teaching 4th grade for at an IB Charter School for two years. I was the 4th grade Professor Team Lead for one year, so I have experience managing people. A major focus for this school was celebrating diversity. I am passionate in cultivating and fostering a strengths-based approach to help students identify their greatest talents in the process of learning and intellectual development to reach their highest potential. I have experience with mental health from both previous work experiences, plus experience working directly with clients in a psychiatry off. I have proficient computer skills and a quick learner. I have great written and listening communication skills. I have over 17 years experience in customer service. I am confident that I possess the most relevant and diverse skills and qualifications needed for this position.
