I am a mother of two teenage boys, one who lives with a learning disability and mental health challenges. Throughout my adult life, I've worked as a reporter, a public relations specialist, and several jobs supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and senior citizens. My natural inclination towards working with children comes from my experience as favorite aunt in the family and then as a mother. Being a caregiver has brought me a lot of joy.
