JNai M.
Hi, my name is Ari!
I am a graduate student and am working on my Masters in Social work to go into individual and family therapy one day.
I've worked with kids since I was a freshman in college! I worked as a teacher assistant at Kinder Care and would also sit for one of the families there occasionally. I was able to adapt leaderships skills, learned how to communicate with the kiddos in their own way, helped with curriculum and leading activities. There I learned how to get creative in implementing fun activities into their learning tasks.
I moved onto becoming an RBT where I did ABA therapy under supervision of a BCBA and implemented programs, collected data and also had fun with them.
During my undergrad internship, I worked with families and children under supervision of a clinical therapist where wee would do play therapy, help out with troubles at school, sometimes even helped with homework. As an employment counselor now, we also get to create workshops that are fun, interactive and also have some great learning opportunities.
I am confident that being in a field that involves working with children and families is where I am meant to be and am excited to continue to grow in the field.
