Jennifer H.
Hi! I'm a mother of nine children, with six successfully raised into adulthood and three still at home. Caring for children has been the center of my life for over 27 years, and I genuinely enjoy helping kids learn, grow, and have fun in a safe and nurturing environment.
As the parent of a child with Type 1 diabetes, I have extensive firsthand experience managing diabetes care, including blood sugar monitoring, insulin administration, carbohydrate counting, and recognizing and responding to hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic events.
I hold an Associate's Degree in Health Science and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. I worked in the Emergency Room for seven years and am BLS certified, giving me a strong background in health, safety, and emergency response.
In addition, I've coached youth soccer and enjoy encouraging children to stay active, build confidence, and develop positive relationships. I currently work remotely for Oregon Institute of Technology with a flexible schedule, allowing me to provide dependable childcare for families needing occasional, part-time, or regular care.
I am patient, responsible, dependable, and committed to providing a safe, engaging, and caring environment where children feel comfortable, supported, and valued.
B.S. in Psychology, currently working on applying to a Master of Science in Nursing program.
