Hello! I’m Abbe and I’m a single mother to an 8 year old daughter and (I do have care for her when I am hired to babysit).
I may be an older babysitter than some, but families appreciate the maturity, reliability, and experience I bring. One mom I work for told me, “Being an older babysitter just means you’re more responsible, reliable, and experienced,” and I feel that reflects the care I provide.
I recently joined the childcare department at a local church and have been babysitting since I was 16. One of my first babysitting jobs lasted over 10 years, caring for the same child by preparing meals, providing transportation to activities, and caring for him on weekends while his mom traveled.
I’ve also cared for three siblings of different ages, managing school drop-offs and pick-ups, sports practices, doctor’s appointments, meal preparation, and school lunches. In addition, I’ve helped care for my nieces and nephews from infancy through their teenage years.
I have experience with children of all ages and take pride in being dependable, patient, and someone parents can trust. My goal is always to provide a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children feel comfortable and cared for.
