  • 20–30%

    average provider gross revenue increase

  • ~$20,000

additional annual revenue per provider (first year)

  • 30–50%

increase in licensed capacity through expansion or hiring

Why do providers choose Boost by Upwards?

Earn more

Fill your open spots and stay full. Providers in Boost report 20–30% higher gross revenue and about $20,000 in additional annual revenue in the first year, driven by fuller enrollment and prioritized family referrals.

Save time

Spend less time on paperwork, more on the children. Boost's Child Care Management System automates invoicing, payments, and attendance tracking, and keeps tuition and records in one place, so administrative work stops competing with caregiving.

Grow your capacity

Open more slots and serve more families. With one-on-one coaching on licensing and expansion, plus hiring help for qualified assistants, providers expanded their licenses to accommodate 30–50% more children.

A coach in your corner

Every provider gets a dedicated Care Coach with early childhood, licensing, and business experience, plus a Business Action Plan with clear next steps. Many providers describe the coaching as the most valuable part of Boost.

FAQs

Learn how Upwards makes it easy for providers to connect and collaborate with families.

What is the Boost program?

Upwards' Boost program is designed to help home daycare owners realize the potential of their small business. We've partnered with key cities and counties across the country to provide our entire suite of products and services free of charge. Your qualification in the program will be determined by where you do business.

Is this program really free? What's the catch?

Yes, it's free. Boost is funded through partnerships with cities and counties as a local economic development program, not through fees to providers. There are no sign-up, platform, or tuition fees during your program year.

What are the qualifications?

Eligible family child care providers meet the following criteria: they are licensed to provide child care services and own a home daycare in a partnering city or county. Other qualifications may be assessed during review of your application.

How do I know if I qualify?

After submitting your application, we will contact you within a few days to provide you with a decision. Your Dedicated Care Coach will be your point of contact throughout the entire process.

Do I have to become an Upwards partner to participate in Boost?

In order to get the full suite of Upwards' service, you will become an Upwards partner for the duration of the Boost program year. After the program concludes, you are free to end or continue with our services.

If I don't qualify, can I still join Upwards?

Yes! We're always accepting more providers to our community. By submitting your application, you'll also be considered for a traditional Upwards partnership.

When does the program begin?

Applications are open now until all spots are filled. We expect to fill up fast, so apply today!
