I’m currently holding a Monday – Friday two-month contract position as an Employment Training Specialist, virtual and in-person, at Kennedy Krieger Institute. I assist adults with disability and veterans with the following duties: device, plan and implement job coaching strategies. Assess clients' wants and needs by providing help and guidance for those who are facing professional challenges. Notice clients' strengths and instruct them how to make the best out of their strengths. Aid and guidance to clients who need help with their everyday work activities or some new tasks. Discover clients' motivation and help develop their skills. Present and teach job searching skills and techniques. Counsel clients on fine-tuning work habits/skills in preparation for competitive employment. Assist employees with disabilities. Keep track, oversee, and document clients' progress. Update employee records. Create and present reports for senior management. Uphold a positive work environment.
Job Responsibilities: Scheduling, creating educational activities, playing with kids, reading, books, driving to and from activities, school work, teaching kids counting, spelling, writing, shapes, colors, playing cards, and puzzles, outdoors while observing and recording their development.
