Position Summary: As a personal housekeeper and nanny, your primary responsibility is to provide comprehensive household management and childcare support. You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized living environment, ensuring the well-being, safety, and education of the children, and assisting with various household tasks. This position requires a high level of trustworthiness, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in childcare.
Responsibilities:
1. Household Management:
• Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning, tidying, and organizing the living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, garage/office, and guest house.
• Manage laundry, including washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary environment by regularly cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, appliances, and fixtures.
• Keep an inventory of household supplies and manage orders and purchases when items need to be restocked.
• Run errands, such as grocery shopping, picking up supplies, and purchasing household essentials.
2. Childcare:
• Provide attentive and nurturing care for the children, always ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Create a stimulating and engaging environment for the children through age-appropriate activities, games, educational activities, and outings.
• Prepare meals and snacks for the children, considering any dietary restrictions or preferences.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, and grooming the children as needed.
• Help and engage in educational activities to support their learning and development.
3. Household Assistance:
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, and meal preparation.
• Perform light cooking and occasional meal prep, following dietary guidelines and preferences.
• Help with pet care, such as feeding, walking, grooming, and cleaning if applicable, including a 10-acre hobby farm with one dog, chickens, goats, sheep, cattle and horses.
• Assist with organizing and decluttering of household items, closets, and storage spaces.
• Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repair services for the household, as needed.
• Manage household schedules, including coordinating appointments and maintaining a family calendar.
• Help maintain pool chemical balance and outdoor kitchen space, organizing and cleaning.
• Help maintain gardens, plants and light-duty landscaping tasks.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a personal housekeeper and nanny or in a similar role.
Knowledge of household cleaning procedures and best practices.
Familiarity with childcare and child development principles.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Physical stamina to perform household duties and engage in physical activities with children.
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
First Aid and CPR certification (preferred).
Fluent in a secondary language (Spanish, preferred)
