We are expecting a baby boy in the winter but are thinking about childcare when I return to work in May or June of 2027, when he will be 5-6 months old. I work differing hours depending on the day of the week but we can generally expect to need care from about 7:15/7:30 to 5-6pm (only 2 Tuesdays a month would require a 6pm pick up). In home daycare preferred but nanny care is absolutely an option- I work predominantly night shifts so would be home sleeping for many of those days.
