first time mom, getting a job and I need someone to watch my 7 month old, Eve, while my husband and I are working, one income just isn't enough anymore. I'm nervous about leaving her with anyone even family. So my husband and I are looking for a good fit. We have things to do Sunday. Wont be gone long, at all. if any questions or concerns call me. We are a Montessori based household. Ask her to be picked up or moved, don't just grab her, unless she's crying. (asking shows her that her personal boundaries and space is respected) if she don't seem to wanna be moved or pick up but she has to just calmly explain why she has to move and suggest something else for her to play with till she can go back to what she was doing before. She just started eating so we don't know if she's allergic to anything yet so we dont give her peanut butter, cinnamon, cherries and red40 dye. At the moment she's just eating bout a pouch maybe two of food everyday. Depends on how much she eats of the solids determines if you make her 6-8 oz. She eats a WHOLE pouch she will not drink a full 8oz. We do not yell or raise our voice, we communicate and listen. If we cannot regulate our emotions temporarily and feel ourselves getting over stimulated we leave the room Eve is in- take a 5, then come back. She has individual play time and group play time( normally with her father and I) that is when she is OUTSIDE her play pen on the mats. She watches Mr. Rachel for 30 to 45 minutes a day only. She loves being outside and ALWAYS needs her Ellie (small elephant stuffy) we are new parents so any little trips or tricks would be appreciated for us to consider. However, we are a Montessori based home, we say simple affirmations in the morning as a family before we start our days. We give our 7 month old the right amount of freedom to try and do everything she can or wants. At the moment she's very independent in feeding herself, but she just chews on the spoons. So give her a spoon to hold while she eats and feed her with another one. If she doesn't eat calmly tell her if she doesn't eat she doesn't need the spoon. She is a VERY good baby and only gets fussy when her teeth start hurting or she wants someone to play with or so the things she needs assistance with still like holding herself up.
I'm SO SORRY that this description is so long and informative, we are just new parents and I haven't been away from her for 30 minutes since she was born
