Program

Since 1991 West Hollywood Children’s Academy has been providing an extraordinary early childhood educational program, in a positive, gentle, nurturing, and safe environment. To us, your child is a unique individual, equipped with their own plan of development, and their own methods and terms of mastering surroundings. We encourage children to be independent, to develop social skills, and to love learning. Organic meals including hot lunch, Spanish immersion classes, Dance/stretch, Music Appreciation and singing, live interactive zoology are part of the program and included in the fee. We support families through the potty‑training process. If you’d like to see your child grow up a successful, happy, healthy, and well-rounded individual, it is important to start caring about his/her future right now.

I spent lots of time creating a "home away from home" where children socialize with their peers, are in harmony with themselves and with each other, learn joyfully, and excel in academics to be ready for elementary school. Every child is like a precious flower, and like flowers they don’t simply blossom on their own. They need a nurturing environment and proper care. Providing this care is our carefully selected staff of teachers and assistants. To them, it’s more than just a job. They commit themselves enthusiastically to the children, deeply understanding each one’s unique interests and needs.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this school. My daughter has blossomed and grown socially and academically over the last few years. Every week, they have special instructors come to teach various things...yoga, dance, music, and it seems everyone’s favorite is Friday...Read more Zoology day! The students get to learn about animals by touching and experiencing them at the school, and there is a different animal/critter brought each week. So cool. My daughter can count to 100 by 10s, 5s, and 2s, but “3s are still a little tricky”. She can read practically anything I put in front of her! Those kids are ALL very well prepared for the upcoming years!

As any pare...Read morent knows, it's quite difficult leaving your child with strangers essentially, turning around, and leaving for work and not worrying about. All administrators, teachers, nannies - everyone at this place have a special touch that just makes you feel comfortable knowing your child is in great hands. My kids blossomed under their care and I am very appreciative. If you're interested in academics, this is also a place to be. Great classes included extracurricular activities available but most importantly teachers themselves. They have such a connection with kids that teaching them somehow appears to be so easy because kids come home every day having learned something new. My 4-year-old is a year ahead now of her friends by doing nothing extra, just attending this school.

Location

Our center is located in the middle of the residential area in West Hollywood (90046). It isn’t big, but we see our size as an advantage. Every room is clean, well lit with ample daylight from the windows, and painted in bright hues to stimulate young minds.
The rooms have space for both collaborative activity and independent quiet time. From the rooms, children can walk out to an oversized outdoor playground at the back of the property. Beautiful trees help to create shades, important for California’s sunny weather. We are proud of our organic garden at the front. Filtered water is available to children inside and outside all the time.
