Our children are our future. A Childcare Provider is one of the most important roles there is. We can shape a child's mind, behavior, concept of self-worth and developmental skills or be their saving grace if they are in a home environment that isn't safe. I offer them love and offer their families a voice and a place to turn to when they need additional assistance.Everyone makes a difference in a child's life whether positive or negative. It is my role to instill positive values and beliefs, right and wrong, acceptance of others through thoughts and actions while staying true to the child's family beliefs. I take my role seriously; I am their example.Being an Early Learning Childhood Education Advocate, I know how important it is to offer children a program that is structured, well thought out and centered around play. Children learn best through play. They build relationships, learn social and emotional skills, learn about themselves, they are encouraged to be creative and to move. All these areas and more, are carefully laid out in my program using the FunShine Express Curriculum, giving the children many areas to grow their skills. I understand children need many different materials to stay engaged. I am consistently adding and rotating materials in my program to keep children connected and learning by offering creative and different activities.It is important for me to show families that their child matters and is well cared for in my program. Some of my families do not have the option to keep their child home during the day, they need to know their child is safe and well cared for while they are at work. For other families, this is a safe haven for their child where they are able to get quality care in an environment not offered at home. Either way, all families are entrusting and believing that I will put their child first and foremost in a positive environment. This is a role I do not take lightly.
