Welcome to Superior Kids, your trusted licensed group childcare home, open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday. We provide care for up to 12 children, from 6 weeks to 5 years old, in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. At Superior Kids, we believe that play is the work of childhood. Every block tower, mud pie, and pretend story is a meaningful opportunity for children to develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and curiosity. Our days are filled with child-led discovery, outdoor adventures, and opportunities for imaginative and cooperative play. We balance this with gentle routines and intentional teaching moments that build early literacy, math, and self-help skills in developmentally appropriate ways.

We are passionate about childcare, and have more than 20 years of combined experience working with young children. Prior to opening Superior Kids, we both worked in a childcare center.

With are certified in First Aid, CPR, and Early Childhood Education. We are both members of the NAEYC and MIAEYC. We balance safety, education, and fun, to equip children with the tools they need to thrive and achieve a bright and happy future.

It is very clean, and they are always doing some sort of learning game or activity. I have been impressed with my son’s development and knowledge of colors, letters, numbers, etc. Em and Taryn are wonderful teachers! I would highly recommend Superior Kids for any family looking for a small childcare setting that is focused on play-based learning. They are very flexible and accommodating to busy schedules, and they have been wonderful to work with. I can’t say enough good things about them!

Superior Kids is a licensed in-home group daycare located in a family-oriented neighborhood on the East side of Marquette.

The entire first floor is set up entirely for children!! Each room in the house is set up with different centers to foster fun and creativity! We have a room for reading and quiet play, an area for large motor play, an area for circle time and daily learning. We also have a room containing cribs for our youngest children.

We have a fenced in play area outside, and are only two blocks away from a park! We are also within walking distance to the Peter White Library! We have large capacity strollers for walking in the summer and sleds for our winter adventures.
