Childcare is my chose profession. I am interested in the physical, mental, and emotional development of every child. Watching each child grow and develop to his/her full potential and being involved as a part of this growing process makes my chosen profession very rewarding. It takes hard work and dedication to be good at what I do. Each day I practice patience, understanding, and Love when teaching and caring for children.We must be able to work together to make your child's time in daycare as non-confusing and happy as possible. This is only successful with your support and feedback. I find the basis on which we, provider and parent, must values most is trust. Without it, neither of us can be successful in making the most of the child's experience while in childcare. It is essential that we discuss out differences and out problems, as well as our successes and achievements. I am committed to establishing and maintaining an open dialogue with all my daycare parents.Only with effective communication can we as parent and provider ensure that each child has the opportunity to develop to his/her fullest potential in a warm, loving, and nurturing environment. I will make it a point to keep you informed about your child's physical, emotional, and social growth. Positive feedback is greatly desired and if you know of any feel free to express it openly, in return I will make every attempt to do the same for you and your child. If I have ever done anything that troubles you please call after daycare hours to discuss the issue, and I will do any and everything in my power to resolve this issue.It is my goal to meet you and your child's needs. To do this we must work together. Obviously, parenting methods differ from family to family. Some things which work between parent and child at home are inappropriate in the daycare setting. It is very important that you and your child feel comfortable and confident in the home you have chosen for his/her childcare. I do not assume that I can meet every family's daycare needs. Sometimes the chemistry between the children just isn't right. By the same token, parent(s) and provider may be unable to establish a mutually satisfying relationship, or values brought to daycare may differ too much to make things workable. However, if we must disagree, let's hope to work out the problem and to be as supportive of each other as possible. Fortunately, the problem situations are the exception. In most cases, the parent, child, and provider are able to establish and enjoy a fulfilling relationship.

Sheila's Childcare is a home daycare that offers childcare programs for nearby families in Cass Lake. The director has programs for children as young as 8 months to as old as 9 years.
