Teachers
My name is Paula Andrea Echeverri Durango, and alongside my husband Harold, I am a dedicated educator and the co-owner of Paula's Barn Inc. With over 20 years of experience in early childhood education, I am a licensed child care professional with a Bachelor's degree in Education and a CDA accreditation.
My commitment to excellence is continuous. I hold certifications from esteemed institutions like Holyoke Community College and the Harvard Graduate School of Education and have received the 2024 Advocacy in ECE Award from MAAEYC for my tireless work in the field. I am also certified in both Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, ensuring the highest level of safety for every child in my care. As a StrongStart Facilitator and a member of the Strategies For Children Advocacy Network, I am deeply involved in empowering fellow educators and improving access to information for the Spanish-speaking community through initiatives like ECCHO-Latino.
My background as a professional nanny for over a decade has instilled in me a profound understanding of family dynamics and a passion for personalized care. I am fluent in both English and Spanish and believe in nurturing every child's potential to become a confident, independent, and socially responsible individual.

Our home offers a perfect balance of cozy, personalized spaces for emotional and affective development and dedicated areas for active, play-based learning. We have intentionally curated our environment to be a place of exploration and creativity, filled with resources and provocations that spark curiosity and encourage critical thinking. We have meticulously designed our home to be an open and participatory environment, where every corner is an opportunity for learning. Our focus on a family-oriented atmosphere means your child will feel comfortable, secure, and ready to engage in daily discoveries and meaningful relationships with peers and educators. Our family extends to include our son, Ismael, who will be away at college but home on breaks, and our gentle dog, Bruno, both of whom bring a loving and stable presence to our home.
For your convenience and peace of mind, our home features a private driveway for safe and easy drop-off and pickup.
