The Little Jackets' Nest is an in-home family childcare that uses a play-based approach to learning and fosters a sense of home-like comfort in a child-centered setting. Our space is within our home but completely separate from our living quarters and has been designed to meet the needs and interests of various age groups. We offer a variety of quality materials, set up learning environments in several designated 'centers' and then use those materials to foster age-appropriate play which simultaneously fosters development in a variety of areas, such as literacy. fine and gross motor, math and creative arts. We have two staff members (one male and one female). We love to play and we use our experience and education in preschool and early childhood education to scaffold the natural tendencies of kids into valuable learning experiences.
