My name is Kakiea Brooks, and I am the owner and administrator of Kubby’s Early Learning Intervention Childcare Inc., a licensed Type A family childcare program in Mansfield, Ohio. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management with a minor in Healthcare Mathematics, a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, and an Ohio PROMISE Professional Credential—Level 1: Aware.
Kubby’s is a Gold-rated childcare program through Ohio’s Step Up To Quality rating system. I am passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and welcoming environment where every child feels loved, supported, and encouraged to reach their fullest potential.
At Kubby’s, we serve infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children through individualized, play-based learning experiences. Our curriculum is taught Monday through Thursday using Brightwheel’s Bright Beginnings curriculum. Lessons and activities are thoughtfully planned to support each child’s social-emotional, physical, language, cognitive, and early academic development.
Kubby’s combines purposeful learning with a Christian foundation that promotes kindness, respect, patience, compassion, and love for others. We believe children learn best through play, exploration, positive relationships, and consistent encouragement.
As an experienced childcare professional and American Heart Association CPR instructor, I am committed to maintaining a safe, prepared, inclusive, and high-quality childcare program. I also incorporate American Sign Language to strengthen communication and give children additional ways to express their needs, feelings, and ideas.
My goal is to partner with families and provide more than childcare. Kubby’s is a place where children can grow in confidence, develop a lifelong love of learning, and build the skills they need to succeed in school and in life.
