For example, outdoor play as well as dance and music allow for physical development. During the day we focus on emergent reading- intellectual development. One way we do this is by retelling information from a story and recognizing letters. I strongly believe in nurturing children for healthy social and emotional development. It is important to maintain consistent communication between the parents and myself. I believe in being on the same page in regards to discipline and correction of behavior. You as the parent need to tell me what works at home; I need to tell you what I am working on at childcare. This way the child will not be confused with two different sets of rules and philosophies.We use the early recognition of numbers, letters and shapes to work with literacy and problem solving, to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program. .I work on all facets of early education including regular classes with professional musicians.
