Program

I create a learning community focused on kindness, communication, and curiosity, where preschoolers aged 3 to 5 learn to solve problems, manage emotions, and engage in joyful, interactive learning experiences initiated by both the teacher and the children. Through intentional learning centers, group activities, and one-on-one time, children are encouraged to work toward developmental milestones in a setting that makes learning enjoyable!

Leann Brown; is the owner and lead teacher at Heart Centered Early Learning, located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. She is happily married, has two stepchildren, and has a large extended family with whom she enjoys spending time. I may spend my free time in the garden or working on genealogy. I enjoy crafts, outdoor adventures, and traveling.
Leann began volunteering at a local ECEAP during high school and continued working in early childhood classrooms in both the public and private sectors. In college, she focused on Early Childhood Education and found additional inspiration from popular pedagogies such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Waldorf. She enjoys collaborating with other educators and has a real passion for early childhood education. With a growth mindset, she always looks for new ways to make my program more meaningful and fun. The preschool years are magical, and a person's experiences during this time can profoundly impact the rest of their lives. She is excited to share her expertise and cozy learning space with the families in her community.

Location

We are in a quiet neighborhood where we know all our neighbors. This licensed, in-home preschool has a separate space created just for the preschool, with its own entrance and backyard play space. The classroom is like many classrooms you will find at early learning centers, but the main difference is that the class size is small.
