Evening Star Childcare Service NFP is a licensed home-based childcare provider located on the South Side of Chicago. Founded over 22 years ago by Atisi Riddle, our nonprofit is dedicated to nurturing the social, emotional, cognitive, and spiritual development of children ages 6 weeks to 12 years. We serve diverse families with a commitment to equity, excellence, and community uplift.
Our Program is a specialized enrichment initiative that supports the holistic growth of children through daily routines, developmental milestones, STEM exposure, emotional regulation, and spiritual foundations. It is designed to foster resilience, curiosity, and character in every child we serve.
Target Audience
• Children ages 6 weeks to 12 years
• Working families, single-parent households, and foster families in underserved communities
• Children with diverse learning needs, including ADHD, ESL learners, and early trauma exposure
Program Goals
1. Enhance developmental readiness for school and life through play-based learning.
