I went into childcare because I genuinely LOVE watching children learn! The first 5 years of life are the most developmentally significant and important. The things children pick up in these first few years lay the foundation for the rest of their lives! I believe as educators and caregivers it is our job to facilitate children's learning. When we provide them with opportunities to learn, they really do the rest all on their own. We have the amazing job to help them be life long learners and independent thinkers! I believe we should act as role models to demonstrate positive behavior guidance as well as assist children in how to manage social situations with one another. It is my goal to provide a fun, safe, family type environment. I will provide the guidance they need to develop a positive self image, self control, and acceptable behavior. We will be both indoors and outdoors. We will have active and quiet times. There will be a basic structure to our days, but I will not push rigidness. Times and activities may vary. I follow a variety of curriculums, all of which are play based and exciting for young minds!
