We focus on key elements that contribute to a child’s development.
Our mission is to provide each child with a loving, caring, nurturing, fun, and a safe environment where they are given the opportunity to uncover, learn and grow at their own creative pace through experiential learning activities.
Our goal is to promote early learning with a focus on each child's social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development as well as provide peace of mind to parents that their child is being cared for by caring and professional educators.
We treat and teach each child kindness, resilience, understanding, patience, and positive reinforcement.
I am an experienced Early Childhood Educator with over 15 years of experience
as a teacher, Behavior Therapist, Early Intervention Specialist and nanny. My passion to become a child educator was inspired by my fifth-grade teacher Craig at The Oaks School.
Craig didn’t just teach me—he immersed me in the subject. Reading a report wasn’t enough; I needed to experience history. Building a Mayan temple, playing ancient games, governing our own “society,” and creating art left a lasting impression on me, especially as a kid who struggled to retain information. His excitement was contagious, and his passion made learning unforgettable. Years later, when I started babysitting, I realized his influence had stayed with me—I couldn’t wait to share that same joy of discovery with the kids I taught, and now with my twin toddler girls. This philosophy is at the heart of Casa de Amor First Steps, where we create a nurturing and stimulating environment for children to explore, imagine, and grow at their own pace. We foster independence, creativity, and a love for learning through hand-on experiences, open-ended play, and meaningful projects. Each day balances structure and flexibility, allowing children to follow their curiosity while developing essential social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
My approach celebrates each child’s uniqueness, guiding them through engaging activities that build problem-solving, collaboration, and confidence. With a Bachelor of Art degree in Education & Art, a background in Early Childhood Education, and certifications in First Aid, CPR, I design developmentally appropriate activities that ignite children’s natural excitement for learning. At CDA First Steps, every moment is an opportunity to inspire—just as Craig once inspired me.
We welcome the opportunity to be of service to your child during the most important milestones.
Sincerely,
Meghan
