Top-Top Day Care & Child Care Academy is a California-licensed family child care program serving infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children in Burbank. The program combines attentive care with play-based learning, creative activities, movement, outdoor time, social-emotional development, meals, and rest within a consistent daily routine.
Our philosophy is centered on the whole child. Children are encouraged to learn at their own pace, build confidence and independence, develop communication and friendship skills, and feel comfortable being themselves. Daily activities may include stories, art and crafts, music, sensory play, puzzles, early learning concepts, fine-motor activities, outdoor play, and age-appropriate life skills.
What makes Top-Top Day Care especially personal is its individualized approach. Activities can be adapted to a child’s abilities, interests, communication style, and developmental needs. The home-based setting also allows children to receive attentive care in a familiar, welcoming environment while benefiting from structured learning, active play, and predictable routines.
Top-Top Day Care is owned and operated by Kristine Manukyan, a Master Teacher with professional training in Applied Behavior Analysis and specialized coursework focused on supporting children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other developmental needs. She has also completed California family child-care home orientation and operates the program as a California-licensed family day care home.
Her teaching approach combines positive guidance, individual attention, consistent routines, and hands-on learning. Rather than expecting every child to learn or participate in exactly the same way, activities are adjusted when appropriate to reflect each child’s age, abilities, interests, communication, and developmental needs.
Children are supported in developing communication, patience, kindness, sharing, independence, creativity, and confidence. Because the owner is also directly involved in teaching and day-to-day care, families receive a more personal approach and children have the opportunity to build a consistent relationship with the person responsible for their program.
Top-Top Day Care & Child Care Academy is located at 501 South Lake Street in Burbank, California, near the Burbank and Glendale border. The program operates from a home-based setting rather than a large institutional child care center, creating a more personal environment for children and families.
The location is in an established Burbank neighborhood with convenient access to surrounding residential areas, local schools, shopping, restaurants, Downtown Burbank, and major routes connecting Burbank with Glendale and the rest of the Los Angeles area. William McKinley Elementary School is approximately 0.4 miles from the property, and the location is within the Burbank Unified School District.
The facility provides both indoor and outdoor areas for the daily program. Children have opportunities for supervised outdoor play, movement, art activities, bubbles, nature-based activities, and other child-sized activities, while indoor spaces support learning, stories, sensory activities, creative projects, meals, naps, and quiet rest. This combination gives children opportunities to learn, play, create, socialize, and recharge throughout the day.
