Welcome to my Sunrise Family Childcare with 25 years of experience in Bethesda, Maryland! We accept ages 1-5.
My program is a comprehensive, play based approach to address Developmental needs of children through early growing years. We conduct daily circle time, work on language and number skills, we do daily arts & crafts, and have fun with lots of creative & interactive playtime, indoors and outdoors.
Hours of operation: 8:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
I earned my Bachelors of Science degree in Early Childhood Education with honors from the University of Maryland in 1996. I was a lead teacher at the Easter Seals Childcare Center at the National Archives in College Park Maryland until the year 2000, and I have been operating my own family childcare ever since.
Per Maryland Childcare Administration, we stay up-to-date with courses, certifications, CPR, and First Aid training requirements.
Sunrise Family Childcare has been in service for 25 years. My program is play based and is designed spark creativity and learning in a clean and safe environment. The daycare is on ground level with plenty of windows and sunlight and is independent from upstairs living quarters. We also have dedicated areas for learning and activities that include a spacious playground in a fenced backyard, a nap room, an art area, play room, and a reading area.
