Miss Dawn’s Daycare & Preschool is a loving, play-based early childhood program serving children ages 2–5 years old. Our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children feel loved, supported, and excited to learn each day.
Our Daycare Program, designed for children approximately 2–3.5 years old, focuses on learning through play, exploration, social interaction, art, music, movement, and hands-on activities. We help children build independence, communication skills, confidence, and positive relationships while preparing them for the transition into preschool.
Our Preschool Program, designed for children approximately 3.5–5 years old, combines purposeful play with a structured, curriculum-based approach to kindergarten readiness. Children participate in early literacy, pre-writing, math, science, art, sensory experiences, music and movement, outdoor play, and small-group learning.
We believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, encouraged, and connected. Our teachers focus on the whole child, supporting social-emotional development just as much as academic growth. With small groups, consistent daily routines, experienced teachers, and strong communication with families, we work together to help every child grow at their own pace.
At Miss Dawn’s, we want childhood to still feel like childhood—lots of play, creativity, friendships, exploration, laughter, and fun, with meaningful learning woven into every day. 💛
Our teachers at Miss Dawn’s Daycare & Preschool are loving, patient, nurturing, and passionate about working with young children. We believe that the relationships children build with their teachers are an important part of helping them feel safe, confident, and excited to come to school each day.
Our team includes experienced childcare professionals as well as teachers studying Early Childhood Education. Our teachers are hands-on and engaged throughout the day, whether they are leading learning activities, creating art, playing outside, reading stories, helping children work through big emotions, or simply sitting down and playing alongside them.
We place a strong emphasis on kindness, encouragement, positive communication, and meeting each child where they are developmentally. Our teachers work together as a team and maintain open communication with families so parents can feel connected to their child’s day.

Miss Dawn’s Daycare & Preschool offers a unique childcare setting that combines the comfort and warmth of a home with the structure and feel of a little schoolhouse.
Our program is located in a residential neighborhood directly behind Evergreen Elementary School in Rohnert Park. Our home has been thoughtfully transformed into dedicated daycare and preschool spaces, giving children the opportunity to learn and grow in an environment that feels cozy and familiar while still providing the routines, classrooms, learning areas, and activities of a traditional preschool.
We love that our setting gives us the best of both worlds. It’s small, welcoming, and personal like a home-based program, but structured, engaging, and intentionally designed like a little school. Children have spaces for learning, imaginative play, art, sensory activities, meals, rest, and outdoor play.
Our little schoolhouse atmosphere is one of the things that makes Miss Dawn’s special. We want children to feel like they are coming to their home away from home each day, while still gaining the confidence, independence, social skills, and school experience that will prepare them for their next big step. 💛
