I help children learn and develop by providing a sense of security, trust, self-worth, family, and personal accomplishment to early learners. I believe it is important to facilitate the development of the whole child (social, emotional, physical and cognitive). This is accomplished by enhancing natural curiosity and thirst for knowledge by creating a safe, stimulating and challenging environment.I use the Creative Curriculum to plan for and support the early learning and development of children in our program.My program is unique because I offer the Scholastic Book Clubs, as well as Second Step Social/Emotional Program for Preschoolers. Emphasis is placed on manners, respect, responsibility, and empathy. Children are taught to express their emotions in a positive manner using self-regulation and verbal communication. All efforts are made to work with families to develop mutual respect, cooperation, and comfortable communication which ensure a quality early childhood experience for all children.
