About Our Program:
At Castle Rock Daycare, we focus on creating a nurturing and engaging environment where children feel like they are part of a family. We offer a play-based curriculum that promotes the development of social, emotional, and cognitive skills, while allowing children to explore and express their creativity. Our program serves children 12 months and older, with a balanced mix of structured activities and free play to help each child develop at their own pace.
Curriculum & Activities:
We use the Experience Curriculum, which provides children with hands-on learning experiences in a variety of areas, including:
• Circle Time: We start each day with a group gathering where we sing songs, share stories, and introduce the day’s theme.
• Literacy & Math: Through books, games, and hands-on activities, we encourage early reading and math skills in a fun and supportive environment.
• Music & Art: Creativity is encouraged through regular music sessions and art projects, giving children the chance to express themselves and explore new mediums.
• Dance Parties: We love to move! Frequent dance parties allow kids to burn off energy and have fun.
• Outdoor Play: Our fully fenced yard includes a commercial-grade playground with 5 different slides, where children can safely climb, run, and explore. We make sure to have outdoor playtime multiple times a day (weather permitting) to encourage physical activity and a connection with nature.
Daily Routine:
We believe that children thrive on routine. Our day includes time for learning, free play, meals, and rest. Children nap on comfortable cots during our scheduled nap time, ensuring they get the rest they need to recharge for the rest of the day’s activities.
Healthy Meals & Snacks:
We serve well-balanced meals and snacks to ensure your child is getting the nutrition they need. Mealtimes are a great opportunity for kids to practice social skills and develop healthy eating habits.
Real-Time Updates with Brightwheel:
Parents stay connected through the Brightwheel app, which provides real-time updates, photos, and notes about your child’s day. This way, you can share in their learning and play, even while you’re apart!
Our Home Environment:
Castle Rock Daycare is located in a welcoming, cozy home in Farmington/Hampton, just off MN 50. The space is designed with your child’s safety and comfort in mind, offering a balance between a homey environment and plenty of space for play and exploration.

Hi, I’m Amy! I’ve been caring for children for over 15 years, and I’m passionate about creating an environment where every child feels happy, confident, and independent. Watching children grow and thrive brings me so much joy, and I strive to provide a nurturing and engaging space where they can do just that.
With my extensive experience, along with certifications in First Aid and CPR, I am committed to the safety and well-being of every child in my care. I am also highly skilled in designing educational and intentional play activities that are tailored to developing children’s psychological, emotional, behavioral, and social skills.
At Castle Rock Daycare, my goal is to support each child’s growth while making learning fun and meaningful. I believe in fostering curiosity, confidence, and independence in every child I work with.
At Castle Rock Daycare, our home daycare is designed for play, creativity, and learning! Our daycare has a driveway for parking. Within the space, we have a backyard, a nap room, an art area, and a reading area to create a comfortable environment for all of our activities.
We are located in a quiet Hampton neighborhood just around the corner from an elementary school and a middle school. Our family-oriented neighborhood has convenient accessible freeways.
