Welcome to Maggie’s Learning Academy. This is not a babysitting service nor nanny service. I am a Professional Child Care Specialist who plan and provide supervision of children at all time ensuring a safe, healthy, nurturing, and loving environment.
There will be lots of learning through play.

*We are now enrolling 12 months-12 years
*Hours of operation: 6:30a - 5:00p
*Located: Alexandria, Louisiana
*Certifications: CPR/First Aide
*=Medication Administers, (PRESCRIBED by PHYSICIAN ONLY) No over-the-counter (excluding sunscreen and diaper rash ointment
*I am a MANDATED REPORTER.

*Meals: Breakfast, AM Snack, Lunch, Afternoon Snack,

Classroom Centers Style Setup. Including
Computer computer Lab

*Daily Report
*Daily Observation
*Field Trips (occasionally)

*REGISTRATION is REQUIRED along with a nonrefundable annual $25 registration fee per child.

I am the mother of 3 college graduates. I started in Early Childhood as a job over 30 years ago. As time passed, it seems as though childcare kept drawing me. I became a Middle School Special Education Paraprofessional for 15 years. After 34 years, I finally graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana receiving my bachelor's degree in Child and Family Sciences. After receiving my degree, I crossed the line from working a job into a Professional Career as a Head Start Teacher. After 3 years, I retired from the school system with over 30 years of work experience which includes Early Childhood Education and Development. And now I further my career as Professional Business Woman.

MAL’s Family Child Care Home, is a safe and healthy environment where learning comes through play. We are Louisiana State certified. We are not identified as nannies nor babysitters, I am identified as a Professional Child Care Specialist.
We are located in a quiet and friendly Alexandria's neighborhood.
