How do I get my husband onboard for teaching my children Arabic?

My husband is against me teaching my kids Arabic, he says kids will make fun of them in school. I feel that it’s not fair for them to not speak the language when both parents and family speak it.

It would help if you told your husband that being made fun of by other children is no reason to keep them from learning a language that at least half your kids' family speaks. I have so many friends that regret not learning their parents' native language because of the language barrier between them and their families. You can fix bullying at any time. However, it becomes harder and harder to learn a new language after ten years old. Teach your kids Arabic! They'll thank you when they're older. 1 Like
