Hello! My experience includes 4 years of babysitting, multiple summer camps and programs, kids' ministry, and a few bonus points for being an aunt of 3:)
In the kids' ministry at my church, I was in the nursery biweekly. Most of the time my regulars included one 8 month old, and 4-5 toddlers. I played games, which involved huge amounts of time spent on Disney karaoke, kept the baby happy, and made sure everyone had their snacks.
Previously, I babysat for the same family all throughout high school (class of 2020!) My responsibilities included cleaning, cooking, engaging the kids with activities that did not involve screen time, changing diapers, and getting everyone to bed on time.
Also throughout high school, I was involved weekly at a ministry in a marginalized community. I was one out of three teachers for my classroom, and my responsibilities included prepping lessons, making sure the kids were paying attention, and actively participating in their activities alongside of them. I would also consistently show up early and stay late to play games: tag, duck-duck-goose, soccer, hide & seek, etc.
