I am energetic, genuine, honest, passionate and my goal is to provide top notch care so parents can go to work and not worry about their children while they are away. I want the children to be excited when I arrive and sad when I leave. :) I build lasting relationships with the children and families I have cared for in the past. I plan age appropriate educational activities throughout the day, but I also believe in traditional "play". Make believe, building forts, getting messy, learning problem solving skills. Learning how to play on their own but also how to play with others. I have been a mother for 16 years of two beautiful children (boy and girl), and I have had an in-home daycare for 5 years. I am also a director at a local church (Downers Grove) for our children's ministry program. (Sundays only). I do not mind doing house work, cleaning, laundry etc. I know working full-time having kids and doing house work is exhausting. So let me help with that! I will typically involve the children in these tasks as well, depending on the age of course. A 2 year old is at the age they WANT to help, they feel important when they help so I like to tap into those skills! I keep daily logs of what your child(ren) do throughout and what they eat. If they are a newborn I will also keep track of wet diapers and dirty ones, when they ate and when they slept. I try my best to keep children on the same schedule the parents have created. I do have my Bachelors Degree from Grand Canyon University in Elementary and Special Education.
