Welcome to Evergreen Montessori Academy (EMA), currently enrolling children who are 2.5-6 years old.

EMA provides authentic and high-quality Montessori methodology and curriculum combined with evidence-based Social-Emotional Learning. This creates an environment where children thrive and learn to follow their interests while developing their capacity for independence, concentration, and a foundation for a lifetime of learning. The children are encouraged to engage at their own pace, enhancing their emerging powers of reason, imagination, and sociability. EMA enjoys and promotes its small student-to-teacher ratios. This ensures that your child will get the very best individualized care.

Teachers

For those who I have yet to meet, my qualifications include nearly ten years of teaching experience working with young children. After graduating from the university in China, I obtained a teacher certification, AMS Montessori Credential (Early Childhood), and WA Early Childhood Certification (Proficiency Level). I also received the Positive Discipline for early childhood educator certification. I am also working on my master's in education from the University of Washington and CEEL certification at Harvard University.

While our primary philosophy focuses on delivering the complete and authentic Montessori experience, we also incorporate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) coupled with evidence-based learning driven by relevant trends and research.

Location

At Evergreen Montessori Academy, our school focuses on each child's individual needs. We are a small environment that allows a great deal of personal attention. Within the space, we have one class, a library, and a large outside area to provide a rich learning environment for all of our outdoor activities.

We are located in a safe and quiet Bellevue neighborhood by Sherwood Forest Elementary School and Interlake High school just minutes away from Microsoft.
