Program

Hi! I am the owner of Bright Stars Academy in- home daycare providing a preschool style curriculum. My goal is to get the children ready for kindergarten by using my educational background as well as personal experiences working with children. I have a bachelor’s in education from SDSU, and 16 years of experience with children ages 0-12 (preschool teacher, after school program aide, nanny, daycare owner).

Play is the most important way a child learns. While I do emphasize learning and having weekly curriculums I do strongly encourage play on a daily basis. Piaget a renowned psychologist who studied child development noticed that when children play, they discovered a deeper understanding of physics, mathematical principles, problem solve, develop self control, and social skills.

So while we do spend a lot of time playing inside and outside, I do weekly topics that cover colors, shapes, numbers, letters, nature, dinosaurs, fairytales etc. as well as daily story time, and song/dance.

I am open from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, and offer care on M - F. Three meals included daily (breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack).
Part-time: 5 hours or less a day.
Full time: 9 hours a day, or 9+ hours a day (fees will differ for 9 hours or over 9 hours depending on your needs).

As an experienced childcare provider with 16 years of experience, I'm devoted to providing children with the tools they need to thrive and succeed to get ready for kindergarten starting from their milestones as infants (rolling, sitting, standing, walking) to mastering their shapes, colors, numbers, letters, and fine motor skills. I have worked as a preschool teacher, after school aide, nanny and daycare owner.

With my certifications in First Aid, CPR, and bachelor’s in education, I balance safety, education, and fun, to equip children with the tools they need to thrive and achieve a bright and happy future.

Location

Bright Stars Academy is a home daycare created to encourage curiosity and learning in a clean space. Toys and bathroom facilities are sterilized weekly, deep cleaning of the entire downstairs area is done monthly.

For your convenience and safety, my home includes a spacious driveway for parking. I also have dedicated areas for learning and activities that include a large fenced backyard with artificial turf, infant room, dramatic play area, an art area, and a reading area.

I am located in a family-oriented neighborhood with a park, an elementary school, and a middle school walking distance away. There is plenty of street parking in a low traffic area right in front of the daycare, as well as a few blocks from accessible freeways (215 and 15).
