Hi there! I started off my professional career volunteering at local daycares to take care of kids between the ages of 3months - 3yrs old. I made sure they were fed, put down for their naps, had their play time and safely with their parents/guardians at the end of the day. I also worked as a Teacher’s Assistant for approximately 7months, assisting with a class of up to 16 children in Pre-K. I assisted the children in their lessons, ensured their environment was clean and tidy and ready for play times, break, lunch and nap time. I read to them, I played games with them, In the Teacher’s absence I even made up a few games I consider educational and assisted in their development of being observant and communicative. During my time at the school, I also volunteered for After School Care and often looked after the children in first and second grades. Once again, I assisted them in their lessons, ensured they got their homework done, made sure the had their snacks and was safely with their parents at the end of the school day. I often took the kids out for outdoor activities as well, and was even one of the Assistant Teacher’s to supervise field trips.
