I am a 21-year-old student from the University of Wisconsin La-Crosse, currently taking a gap year until this upcoming fall 2022 semester. I have extensive background in childcare, from volunteering at a local children's museum and in church nurseries as a youth, to nannying for children of various ages in my high school and more recent college years. As one of nine kids, I've grown up with a love for young children. I find working with children enjoyable and refreshing, and I often discover that I can learn much from their young perspectives and little thoughts.
I have always held a great value for nature and the outdoors, as well as art and creativity. This appreciation is something I want to share with younger generations, especially given their recent periods of extended online and computer-based education.
As someone planning on going into education, I am looking to get as much experience as attainable in this field of work, and to continue to grow my abilities in working with children and in educating them. I am eager to learn and lead in this current season that I am in and to offer my skills and experience for the benefit of local youth.
